new york -- day one

our first day was the longest by far. our flight left atlanta at 6, which put us at newark airport by 8. from there we were able to make it the city & to our hotel by 9am. we dropped off our bags & left to explore the city hand in hand.

we pretty much ate like royalty our entire stay. we budgeted ourselves a hefty sum of cash because we new how expensive new york was & also because we like to eat... a lot. we were told by many people to visit serendipity for dessert. which we had no problem doing. as you can see ^^^we had no trouble finding something to fancy our pallets^^^. i was too ashamed to take an after picture because we didn't clean our plates. you know the portions are huge if M & i couldn't eat it all. but that chocolate cake was so mouth watering i can still taste it.

we did so much in that first day it's almost hard for me to remember it all. i definitely remember all the walking & picture taking. the food, laughs & comments like "there's so many starbuck's here." oh M, you are so cute. new yorkers like their coffee. you'd fit in well here :)

  5. It looks like you had a fun time in NYC! Those desserts look amazing! I think eating is probably one of the best things about going on vacation. I mean, probably one of the most direct ways you can experience the culture of the area!
